U.S.S. Blower (SS-325)

The Blower Page was installed originally because how she received that damage to her bow was a mystery.  After much speculation and debate,  Marshall Dubin wrote that his Father-In-Law, Paul M. Landsberg, was onboard Blower during WWII.  See the photographs below.  That's Paul on the right squatting down on the deck.

Blower was finishing up SONAR excersizes and was enroute from the Florida Keys to Panama.  It was a very stormy and foggy night.  A patrol boat hit them during this bad weather, and that caused the damage.

Marshall writes that Paul still wears his DBF cap to this day.

Paul Landsberg does not have an email address, but would very much like to be in contact with other Blower shipmates.  Please contact Marshall Dubin through his email:  Marshall.Dubin@ONSTAR.com
